Lithuanian Foreign Minister: Protecting Ukrainians Should Be Prioritized Over Protecting Russian Bombers.

Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis expressed concern about the lack of support for Ukraine from Western partners.
This is reported by ZN.UA.
"It sounds like a joke, but we are protecting the Russian sky better. Russian planes are better protected by Western guarantees than Ukrainians," the minister said.
Landsbergis highlighted several problems in providing aid to Ukraine:
- The Patriot systems promised in Washington have not yet been delivered.
- Since June, there have been no new deliveries of promised ammunition.
- Part of the promised equipment will only be delivered in 2027, although the promises were made in 2023.
The minister noted that this situation raises concern in Eastern European countries because "everyone understands that if Ukraine does not receive the necessary help, doors will open for Putin to continue."
Landsbergis also compared the support for Ukraine with the aid that Russia receives from its allies: "Putin has reliable friends. North Korea and Iran are able to arm the Russians with what they promise. And that's the difference."
In conclusion, the Lithuanian diplomat expressed fears about Europe's readiness for a possible defeat of Ukraine: "Europe, in principle, is ready for defeat. And I really hope that those who made the decision not to supply Ukraine with what was already promised must be ready for the next stage of the war."
