The 46-year-old legendary former world champion in eight weight categories, Filipino Manny Pacquiao, explained why he decided to return to the ring. He noted that he plans to fight on July 19 against the WBC world champion in the welterweight category, American Mario Barrios.
«We can give a great fight and entertain the fans. Mario is a great fighter, and he is the champion. What can you expect from Pacman? You know me, I always surprise the fans, I've done it before», said Pacquiao.
Pacquiao's last fight as a professional boxer took place in August 2021, where he suffered a defeat from Cuban Yordenis Ugas. Over his career, he had 72 fights, winning 62 of them (39 by knockout), with eight losses and two draws.
