Will there be a Black Pope: Vatican insiders assess the chances of the cardinals.

There may be the first African Pope in the Vatican. People in Africa hope that one of them will lead the Church and continue the work of Francis, who supported third-world countries.
The number of Catholics in Africa is growing the fastest. African Catholics who participated in the service after Francis's death emphasized the need for an African Pope.
Some scholars argue that several Popes from the first millennium were born in Africa or had African ancestry.
The names of several African candidates for the Pope are already being discussed. However, Vatican experts doubt their success due to their lack of popularity compared to most Western cardinals.
Among the African clerics who could become Pope are Ghanaian Cardinal Peter Kodwo Appiah Turkson, Congolese Cardinal Fridolin Ambongo Besungu, Archbishop of Kinshasa, and Ivorian Cardinal Ignace Bessi Dogbo.
In 2023, about 20% of all Catholics in the world will be in Africa, and their numbers are continually growing.
The process of electing a new Pope, known as the conclave, will begin in May.
The election of an African Pope is expected to be well-received in the region and inspire the clergy of Africa.
