Prices for milk and butter have changed: what to expect for Ukrainians in 2025.

Ukraine has witnessed a decrease in prices for milk and butter. This was reported by Georgiy Kukhaleyshvili, an analyst at the Milk Producers Association (MPA).
This decline in prices occurred due to a drop in butter prices and reduced demand during the New Year holidays.
The weighted average price for three types of milk has decreased to 18.37 UAH/kg without VAT, which is 32 kopecks less compared to the previous month.
According to the analyst's estimates, in 2025, it is possible for procurement prices to rise due to increased production costs. At the same Time, the global dairy market is likely to operate in a new price range - from 40 to 50 dollars per 100 kg of raw milk.
In 2024, the prices for raw milk in Ukraine rose by 20% compared to the previous year, reaching 42.45 dollars.
Prices by type (without VAT):
- Extra: 19.10 UAH/kg without VAT (range 18.50-19.50), a decrease of 0.60 UAH per month
- Higher: 18.35 UAH/kg without VAT (range 17.80-19.00), a decrease of 0.35 UAH
- First: 17.65 UAH/kg without VAT (range 16.50-18.50), no change.
The expert also noted that in December 2024, the amount of imported dairy products, including cheeses, increased due to the high price in the domestic market.
It is expected that procurement prices may temporarily decrease at the end of April - beginning of May 2025, due to an increase in milk production in households.
Let us remind you that the prices for flour, sugar, and salt are also decreasing in January.
