Europe opened the market for an important product from Ukraine: which restrictions have been lifted.


The EU Council decided to open markets for Ukrainian seeds of beet, sunflower, rapeseed, and soybeans, as well as seeds of forage crops from Moldova, granting them equivalence to EU standards. This decision will help Ukrainian and Moldovan producers enter the European market. It will also contribute to the expansion of the sowing area for European companies and ensure stable supplies of high-quality seed material to EU countries.
The technical modification of standards is an important step for improving the seed market and quality control from Ukraine and Moldova and will facilitate trade between these countries and the EU. The decision of the EU Council will come into force 20 days after publication in the Official Journal of the European Union.
