Almost a month was considered missing in action. Let us remember Dmytro Lyashenko.


Every day at 9 am, Ukrainians honor the memory of all those who died in the Russo-Ukrainian war. Today, let us remember Dmytro Lyashenko.
Dmytro Lyashenko died on November 23, 2024, from shelling while carrying out a combat mission near the town of Vovchansk in the Kharkiv region. The group coming to replace him was caught under artillery fire, and almost all its members were killed. Dmytro's body was returned to his family after a month. He was 32 years old. Dmytro was born on March 17, 1992, in the village of Koziivka, Kharkiv region.
The man joined the army in 2019 to defend Ukraine's independence in the JFO area. In September 2024, he retrained for the position of sapper within the 71st separate jaeger brigade. Dmytro Lyashenko was awarded the Order of 'For Courage' of the 3rd class and the badge of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine 'Combat Cross'.
Oksana, the widow of the fallen: 'He had few friends but many acquaintances. He was very kind, sincere, open, positive, and non-conflicting. Now I have to learn to live quite differently. But the most painful thing is explaining to little children that their father is no longer here.'
We remember those who died in the struggle for independence. We recall citizens of Ukraine who gave their lives for the freedom and independence of the state.
During the war, not only soldiers are lost, but also their relatives and loved ones, who are left alone due to loss in the struggle for independence. By honoring the memory of the fallen, we remember their sacrifice and the greatness of the soul that permeated every action and deed in defense of the homeland.
