Even not on food and medicines: a survey showed what Ukrainians are forced to save on.

Ukrainians are changing their spending even on the most essential needs. According to a Gradus Research survey, in the current economic conditions, Ukrainians are forced to significantly limit their expenses. The largest part of their money is spent on basic needs such as food (85%), utilities (70%), and medical drugs (62%).
Due to inflation, the overwhelming majority of the population (90%) primarily saves on food and medicines. Another 79% also cut spending on clothing, household goods, medical services, and leisure.
The situation is particularly difficult for the older generation: more than 60% of people aged over 60 are forced to save even on food, while among those aged 55-60, approximately 67% reduce expenses on household needs.
In order to adapt to the difficult circumstances, 64% of respondents switch to more affordable brands, while only 25% continue to buy familiar brands regardless of the prices.

Analysis:
According to the research, Ukrainians are gradually reducing their spending even on basic needs such as food, utilities, and medical drugs. Inflation is becoming the main reason why many people are forced to cut back on expenses for clothing, household goods, medical services, and leisure. This issue is especially relevant for the older generation, who are forced to save even on necessary products. Most respondents are switching to more affordable brands to save money, yet still, quite a few people continue to buy familiar brands despite rising prices.
