China's Support is a Decisive Factor in Russia's Continuation of the War Against Ukraine - US at UN.

The US believes that China's support for Russia is a critical factor for the continuation of the war against Ukraine
Deputy US Permanent Representative Robert Wood stated at a UN Security Council meeting that China's support is crucial for the continuation of the war against Ukraine. He believes that China could cease this support and create conditions for peace.
Wood emphasized that while China continues to decrease its support for Russia's defense industry, it also provides weapon components, technologies, and materials for production. He also noted that China has no grounds to claim it stands for peace when it gives Russia the means to wage war in Europe.
The diplomat also noted that China did not support the UN General Assembly resolution condemning Russia's invasion of Ukraine and calling for troop withdrawal. He stressed that China could help end the war if it called on Russia to withdraw its troops from Ukraine.
North Korea's and Iran's Assistance to Russia is Also Condemned
The US Deputy Permanent Representative also mentioned the assistance provided to Russia by North Korea and Iran. He warned that the deployment of North Korean troops in Russia is a dangerous expansion of ties between these countries. Wood pointed out that North Korea illegally supplies arms to Russia, violating UN Security Council resolutions.
The American diplomat expressed the strongest condemnation of the relations formed between Russia and North Korea.
At the UN Security Council meeting, Russia again attempted to condemn military aid to Ukraine but was reminded that it itself violates Security Council sanctions with its military assistance.
