More than one million hryvnias will be refunded to consumers for incorrect utility tariffs.

Since the beginning of 2025, 98 unexpected inspections have been carried out aimed at detecting deficiencies in tariff formation. Serious problems have been identified, especially in the areas of water supply and wastewater management.
The State Consumer Protection Service has taken a number of measures to address violations, including fines, demands for rectification of deficiencies, and refunding money to consumers, as well as holding perpetrators accountable. The Deputy Head of the State Consumer Protection Service emphasized that protecting consumers' rights is a top priority, and any unjustified increase in tariffs violates the basic rights of every citizen.
The State Consumer Protection Service continues to monitor compliance with legislation regarding price and tariff formation in the utility sector, stressing the importance of ensuring fairness for all citizens.
Control over tariff formation in the utility sector remains a focal point for the State Consumer Protection Service. In recent months, serious violations have already been detected, indicating the need for strengthened control and compliance with legislation in this area.Read also
