For nearly a year, the warrior was considered missing in action. Let's remember Ruslan Vitruk.

Every day at 9 o'clock, Ukrainians mourn the losses brought by the Russian-Ukrainian war. Today we remember Ruslan Vitruk.

Ukrainian defender Ruslan Vitruk died on February 7, 2024, in the Donetsk direction. This was reported by the Rivne City Council.

Ruslan Vitruk was born on February 27, 1979, in the city of Rivne. He studied at schools No. 12 and No. 13 in Rivne, and then received the profession of a carpenter at VPU No. 1.

Ruslan was a hardworking and kind person. He worked at the 'Akord-S' enterprise, and later at the market.

Relatives say that he was a versatile person with deep interests. He enjoyed immersing himself in the world of fantastic books, was interested in various films - from emotional dramas to his favorite comic book movies - and loved going to the cinema with his family. He also dedicated his youth to sports, particularly boxing. He valued simple pleasures the most - spending Time with family in nature and with friends. Ruslan's special dream was to travel to Japan - a country that fascinated him with its culture, philosophy, and traditions.

In January 2023, Ruslan was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

He wanted to join the military since the beginning of the war, but could not due to his younger daughter. However, when the summons arrived, he underwent the commission without hesitation and went to defend Ukraine - says his wife Aliona.

Unfortunately, Ruslan Vitruk died on February 7, 2024, in the Donetsk direction. For over a year, he was considered missing in action. His body was only returned and buried now.

He left behind his wife, three children - a daughter and two sons - and his mother.

The defender of Ukraine was buried at the cemetery in the village of Horinyhrad Druhy, Rivne district, Rivne region.

The Commander-in-Chief also joins in a moment of silence, honoring the memory of all Ukrainians who died in the fight for their homeland. He remembers those killed by Russian invaders, lights candles of memory, and bows his head in sorrow during the nationwide moment of silence, honoring the bright memory of the citizens of Ukraine who gave their lives for the freedom and independence of our state: all military personnel, civilians, and children, all who died in the struggle against Russian occupiers and as a result of the attack of hostile troops on Ukrainian cities and villages.
