Russia prepares strikes on nuclear facilities in Ukraine, - Sibiha citing intelligence.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiha warned of a possible threat of Russian strikes on Ukrainian nuclear facilities.
He published this information on the social network X, citing Ukrainian intelligence data.
"According to Ukrainian intelligence data, the Kremlin is preparing to attack critically important Ukrainian nuclear energy facilities before winter. This includes open distribution devices at nuclear power plants and transformer substations, which are critically important for the safe operation of nuclear energy," Sibiha stated.
The minister emphasized the seriousness of the situation, noting that damage to these facilities could lead to a nuclear catastrophe with global consequences. He also reported that Ukrainian special services have already transmitted this information to international partners and the IAEA.
"Russia is the only country in Europe that has seized a nuclear power plant and threatens the world. We call on all international organizations and states that respect the UN Charter to prevent the scenario of a terrorist state," added Sibiha.
The minister also thanked the IAEA for its decision to expand missions at several nuclear facilities and called on the agency and other organizations to expedite the implementation of agreements and ensure the constant presence of expanded missions at all relevant facilities.
Sibiha stressed that radiological and nuclear safety are important issues for the international community according to Ukraine's "peace formula."
Earlier, the IAEA demanded that Russia de-occupy the ZNPP and return it under Ukraine's control.
