Former 'Barcelona' and 'Atletico' player Arda Turan has been appointed as the new head coach of Donetsk football club 'Shakhtar'. The Turkish specialist signed a contract until the summer of 2027 and expressed hope that he could contribute to the club's legacy and bring many joyful moments to the fans through their play.
Arda Turan's Path to Coaching Career
Arda Turan was born in 1987 in Istanbul and is a graduate of Istanbul 'Galatasaray'. He has successfully played for clubs such as 'Galatasaray', 'Manisaspor', 'Atletico', 'Barcelona', and 'Istanbul Basaksehir', as well as for the Turkish national team.

After finishing his playing career, Turan tried his hand at coaching, leading the Turkish First League club 'Eyupspor' and achieving certain successes. The team introduced a new playing kit that retains the visual style of the club but has new dynamic aspects that symbolize moving forward.
