The government has provided additional funding to improve the material and technical base of the training centers of the Ground Forces and military units. This was reported by 'Glavkom' citing the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi. As a result of the meeting regarding training, Syrskyi stated that the government allocated about 1.2 billion UAH to improve the material and technical base of training centers of the Ground Forces and military units.'We also received significant additional funding from the government to strengthen the training material and technical base in the training centers of the Ground Forces and military units. Now this item of expenditure amounts to about 1.2 billion UAH, and it is very important to effectively manage these funds,' Syrskyi said.In addition, instructors in the Armed Forces will receive an additional payment of 30 thousand UAH.Work is underway to improve the training of instructors in the training centers and increase their motivation. The Cabinet has decided to pay a permanent allowance to the salary in the amount of 30 thousand UAH,' the Commander-in-Chief stated.Syrskyi noted that the meeting discussed issues and proposals for their resolution. Urgent tasks for the command of the branches and arms of the forces were identified in the area of training improvement, as well as the improvement of discipline in specific training centers.Training soldiers is not just about education. It is about saving the lives of servicemen, increasing the effectiveness and combat readiness of the army. Last year, I took this issue under special control, and today I can say that improving the quality of training prevents an increase in our losses, regardless of the increasing intensity of combat operations.'The basic general military training (BGMT) in the Ukrainian army now lasts 1.5 months (instead of 1 month), and in addition to it, the recruit undergoes a mandatory adaptation course in the brigade. The training period has been increased - now it is mandatory to improve the quality,' emphasized the Commander-in-Chief.The work on improving the BGMT program and the state of affairs in the training centers is overseen by Deputy Commander-in-Chief Brigadier General Oleg Apostol, and Syrskyi notes that 'we are moving forward on the chosen course, not slowing down the pace'.Recall that the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi published the results of the Armed Forces' work in March and outlined the main tasks of the army.
