Scholz announced a large-scale air defense support package for Ukraine.

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz announced a new package of military aid for Ukraine during a press conference in Kyiv. The main focus is on supporting air defense.
The amount of military assistance from Germany is 28 billion euros, making it the second largest donor after the USA.
Scholz also noted that five IRIS-T systems, three Patriot systems, over 50 Gepard anti-aircraft installations with a full set of ammunition and spare parts have already been delivered.
In December of this year, an increase in Ukraine's air defense capability is expected with the delivery of a sixth IRIS-T system, launchers for Patriot, and Gepard.
In addition, the German government plans to supply air defense systems, howitzers, drones, combat reconnaissance vehicles, and six Sea King helicopters by 2025.
It was previously reported that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Chancellor Olaf Scholz visited injured soldiers and inspected drone systems in Kyiv.
