The Armed Forces of Ukraine are creating a regiment of unmanned systems
The Third Assault Brigade is forming its own regiment of unmanned systems, as reported by the brigade's press service. The regiment will consist of pilots, engineers, IT specialists, sappers, mechanics, and electricians, with experienced commanders leading the new unit.
It is worth noting that the unmanned systems regiment of the 3rd Assault Brigade has its own website where information about vacancies and training within the unit can be found. The 3rd separate assault brigade became the Third Army Corps on March 14.
The message from the Third Army Corps states that various factors were used to build the corps, such as combat training, the professionalism of sergeants, management and planning work, as well as the use of drones on the front line. The use of a corps structure is an implementation of organizational reforms in Ukraine's Armed Forces initiated by General Oleksandr Syrsky.
According to analysts from the American Institute for the Study of War, the corps structure has been used in the Armed Forces of Ukraine since 2023. In addition, Ukraine has restructured its reserve corps into the 11th Army Corps and is also forming a fourth Army Corps.
