Ukrainians risk losing social payments due to mandatory medical examinations
Starting April 1, a certain category of people with disabilities must successfully undergo a medical examination to reassess their capabilities. This examination will be crucial for retaining or losing disability status and ceasing social payments.
Men aged 25 to 60 with second or third group disabilities must undergo reassessment by November 1, 2025, or they risk losing their pension. The remainder of disabled individuals who missed the examination during martial law must complete it by April 1, 2026.
“To obtain a referral for a medical examination, you need to contact your medical institution's doctor. You can independently choose a facility for the assessment from the list of available clinics,” the Ministry of Health stated.
There are also categories of individuals exempt from mandatory reassessment, including those who received disability status in 2025, lifetime disability holders, military personnel, and individuals living in combat zones.
- Ukrainians are advised to comply with the requirements for medical examinations to avoid the cessation of social payments.
- It is necessary to contact your doctor and obtain a referral for the reassessment of functional capabilities.
