Ukrainians have already received over 62 thousand extracts from the Register of missing persons.

Ukrainian relatives of the missing have received over 62 thousand extracts from the Unified Register of Persons Missing Under Special Circumstances, reported Artur Dobroserdov, the commissioner for these issues. Some families received these extracts multiple times, depending on their needs. The extract can be used for deferring conscription, arranging a pension due to the loss of a breadwinner, and obtaining social benefits.
It is important that prisoners are not excluded from the register of missing persons, as this would limit their rights. The commissioner also noted that if it is known that a person is in captivity, the search process does not stop. Currently, there are 866 court decisions in the register recognizing individuals as deceased, which gives families the right to manage property and resolve issues regarding children and divorce.
