The Ukrainian U-17 national team started with a loss to Croatia in the Euro-2025 qualifiers.


The Ukrainian U-17 national team has begun the second round of qualifiers for Euro-2025. The team, led by Oleksandr Sytnyk, plays in Group A1 alongside Italy, Croatia, and Slovakia. The first match took place today against Croatia.
At the beginning of the game, Hrahovac made a dangerous shot but missed the goal. Then the Croats also had their chance, but the ball hit the post. Both teams created several opportunities but failed to score. In the 22nd minute, Croatia scored the first goal, followed by another, and at halftime, the teams went to the break with a score of 0:2.
In the second half, the Ukrainians managed to reduce the deficit by scoring from a penalty. However, the Croats also had their chances but failed to score. The hosts fought to maintain the score, while the Ukrainian team tried to snatch a draw. However, in the end, we still suffered a defeat with a score of 1:2.
The next match awaits us on March 22 against the Italian national team.

A successful performance at Euro-2025 (U-17) will allow the Ukrainian team to qualify for the 2025 World Cup in the U-17 category, which will be held in Qatar with the participation of 48 teams.
