Construction of 600 new residential complexes has started in Ukraine: which regions are leading.

The Ukrainian real estate market is showing positive trends after a long period of war. Olga Petrosyuk reported that during the war, 594 new residential complexes, or RCs, were launched. The most housing is being built in the Lviv region, where the most new construction projects have been initiated.
There is active construction in the Lviv region, where 166 new RCs have been launched – twice as many as in the Kyiv region (84 projects). The Ivano-Frankivsk region has started sales in 66 residential complexes, Zakarpattia in 65, and Ternopil region in 49 projects.
Petrosyuk noted that the pace of putting new housing into operation continues to grow and is reaching the previous level before the war. In 2025, almost the same amount of housing was commissioned as in 2021. Although construction volumes have increased, apartment sales are lagging behind the previous level. According to a survey of developers, no more than 20% of apartments have been sold compared to 2021.
Although demand for apartments in new buildings increased in 2025, returning to previous sales volumes will take Time, Petrosyuk noted.
The Ukrainian real estate market shows some recovery, but still needs time for a complete return to previous sales volumes.
