Assassination of Hamas Leader: What Will Iran Do - Media.

Death of Hamas Leader as a Result of an Israeli Airstrike
One of the Hamas leaders, Ismail Haniyeh, was killed after an airstrike in Iran, where he was attending the inauguration ceremony of the new president. Israel promised to kill Haniyeh and other Hamas leaders in connection with the group's attack on Israel in October.
Meanwhile, in Lebanon, Israel claimed to have killed Fuad Shukr, a commander of Hezbollah, holding him responsible for the rocket attack on the Golan Heights. As a result of this attack, 12 children and teenagers who were playing football were killed.
Haniyeh's death will be a significant loss for Tehran, which nearly went to war with Israel in April. The Hamas leader sent many drones and rockets to Israel, most of which were shot down. Israel's response was an airstrike on a military airfield.
"However, death at the hands of Israel is a fate that Hamas leaders and commanders accept as given," writes the newspaper.
Iran is likely not planning to start a war with Israel over this incident, which they consider accidental or unforeseen. However, Iran might attempt to disrupt the ceasefire negotiations in Gaza, where more than 39,000 Palestinians have already died, according to the Hamas-controlled Ministry of Health.
