Great fines and license revocation: 'noisy' drivers promised to be severely punished.

For exceeding the permissible noise level, drivers face a fine of 34,000 hryvnias and revocation of their driving rights. This was reported by lawyer Mykola Ilchuk. This new penal sanction is aimed at those who modify car exhaust systems to increase noise and disturb the peace of local residents.
The draft law aimed at introducing new fines is facing certain difficulties in its implementation. First of all, the police need the appropriate equipment to measure noise levels according to legal requirements. In addition, the lack of a methodological base and training for police officers also complicates the process of imposing fines.
Moreover, without mandatory technical inspections of vehicles, it will be difficult to document violations and impose fines. Therefore, to successfully implement the law, it is necessary to create a new noise measurement system, develop a verification procedure, and provide police officers with the necessary tools.
