Information on how much military personnel on leave receive was shared on the ArmyInform portal.
Who and why are put on leave
The full list of grounds for the dismissal of military personnel is contained in the president's decree 'On the Regulation on the Service of Citizens of Ukraine in the Armed Forces of Ukraine'. In addition to the need for long-term treatment or being declared unfit or partially fit, there may be the following reasons:
- dissolution (reformation) of a military unit or reduction of staff positions if the issue regarding the further service use of released servicemen has not been resolved;
- demotion in rank as a disciplinary measure or appointment to a lower position based on evaluation conclusions, if it is not possible to immediately appoint the serviceman to a lower position;
- return of servicemen who were sent abroad for military service or training — if it is not possible to appoint them to a position;
- expulsion of a student from a higher educational institution;
- suspension of a serviceman from duty during a pre-trial investigation or court proceedings;
- if preventive measures in a criminal proceeding were applied to servicemen in the form of house arrest or detention, or if such punishments as arrest or detention in a disciplinary battalion were applied by court verdict;
- if servicemen have been absent for more than ten days;
- if a serviceman is on parental leave until the child reaches three years of age, in case of dissolution of the military unit and in the absence of the possibility to transfer such serviceman to a vacant position.
How much military personnel on leave receive
A defender who is on leave after treatment or for other reasons should receive:
