Ukrainian soldiers of the GUR have destroyed an enemy combat aircraft from the sea drone Magura for the first time in the world.


Ukrainian military personnel from the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine have destroyed an enemy combat aircraft from the sea drone Magura for the first Time in the world, the press service of the Main Directorate of Intelligence reported.
According to intelligence data, on May 2, 2025, a special unit of the Security Service of Ukraine and the defense forces of Ukraine in the Black Sea eliminated the Russian Su-30. This is the first destruction of a combat aircraft by a sea drone in the world.
The historic strike was carried out by the soldiers of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Group 13 with a missile from the unmanned maritime platform Magura.
'The multi-role fighter of the aggressor state Russia, estimated to cost about 50 million dollars, ignited in the air and ultimately fell into the sea – to the depths of the merciless 'Neptune's' domain,' emphasized the Main Directorate of Intelligence.
A successful strike on the enemy combat aircraft occurred in the waters near the port of Novorossiysk, where the Russians hide the remnants of their Black Sea fleet.
The Main Directorate of Intelligence also reminded that on December 31, 2024, thanks to the missile sea drone Magura V5, the special forces of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine destroyed an aerial target for the first time in the world – two Russian Mi-8 helicopters.
