Serious consequences threaten: what Ukrainians need to do with the electricity meter during home repairs.

Ukrainians were explained how to properly handle the electricity meter during home repairs
During major repairs of the house, it may be necessary to replace the wiring, install a new circuit breaker, or relocate the meter. For safe and correct execution of such work, it is necessary to contact the DTEK Kyiv Regional Electric Networks company, which will conduct the unsealing of the meter.
The seal on the meter guarantees its integrity and proper functioning under the control of the energy company. Only DTEK employees have the right to remove it according to current legislation.
Independent attempts to unseal or disconnect the meter can lead to serious consequences, such as short circuits or equipment failure.
The meter must be unsealed when replacing the wiring, replacing the circuit breaker located before the meter, and when relocating the meter itself according to the project documentation.
After the repair work is completed, the energy company will reseal the meter and confirm its operability.
If you can perform all the work quickly, within 10 minutes, the DTEK Kyiv Regional Electric Networks specialists will be able to perform both the unsealing and resealing in one visit to avoid interruptions in electricity supply.
To order the sealing service of the meter, you need to go to the DTEK Kyiv Regional Electric Networks website and fill out the application online.
All services related to the meter can be ordered without visiting the office or calling the call center.
We remind you that the Ministry of Energy reacted to rumors about a possible increase in electricity tariffs.
