Zelensky and Macron discussed strengthening Ukraine's air defense and the transfer of Mirage planes.


Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky made a phone call to French President Emmanuel Macron, where he discussed issues regarding strengthening Ukraine's defense capabilities.
During the conversation, Macron confirmed his readiness to provide immediate assistance to enhance Ukraine's air defense. The transfer of 'Mirage' planes and the provision of comprehensive defense support were also mentioned.
Zelensky and Macron also discussed issues related to Ukraine's NATO membership and strengthening the long-range capabilities of the Ukrainian military. According to Zelensky, this is necessary to counter Russian aggression and advance towards peace.
A separate discussion was devoted to preparations and equipping Ukrainian brigades. The parties considered the possibility of conducting training missions both in NATO member countries and on Ukrainian territory based on the French initiative.
