Zelensky commented on the 18th package of sanctions against the Russian Federation

'The decision of the European Union, for which we all worked together actively. We managed to strengthen the 18th package of sanctions against Russia for this war, and today the package has been approved. Thank you to everyone who helped,' said the president.

Zelensky noted European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and each leader of the EU countries for their consolidation and joint principled position.

'Thank you to President of the European Council Antonio Costa. Thank you to Denmark for a really strong start to the EU presidency. This is a necessary decision, and it is needed right now as a response to the fact that Russia has made its attacks on our cities and villages more brutal,' wrote Zelensky.

The leader of Ukraine explained that the 18th package of sanctions continues to pressure the Russian tanker fleet and the companies that help facilitate the funding of murders through oil.

Zelensky also mentioned the ban on any transactions related to the gas pipelines of the 'Nord Stream' system.

'All infrastructure of the Russian war must be blocked. We are quickly preparing the synchronization of European sanctions in Ukraine and are also preparing new sanctions decisions — both at the level of partners and within the Ukrainian jurisdiction. Glory to Ukraine!' the leader concluded.
