Ukrainian Armed Forces introduce 'psychological strip' and VR technologies in military training.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine are making significant improvements in the basic training system for mobilized soldiers. One of the key innovations is the use of a 'psychological strip' to train stress resistance and VR technologies in education.
According to the Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Brigadier General Oleg Apostol, this 'psychological strip' is analogous to the Polish methodology that prepares soldiers for actions in stressful situations. It has already been implemented in one training center and plans for scaling are underway.
The general military training program has also been updated, standard materials for instructors have been developed, and a feedback system has been implemented. Trainees undergo surveys, the results of which are analyzed, and necessary adjustments are made to the program.
All training centers have received VR goggles with pre-written scenarios and training videos. Currently, 64 videos demonstrating frontline experience are available.
The course for squad commanders has also been improved, focusing on working with UAVs and electronic warfare. New programs have been implemented since March 11.
Considering the significant role of instructors, their training has been extended to 2 months, and the practical component of the program has increased to 92%. In various training centers, 23 advanced training courses for instructors have been opened, and the Unified Center for Training Instructor Staff has been eliminated.
Changes have been made to the basic general military training program for servicemen who are fit for service in rear structures. Starting from May 1, this category of military personnel will undergo an updated program for one month with reduced physical loads and in specially formed training units.
These improvements are aimed at enhancing the level of military training and ensuring their stress resistance and professional skills. This will contribute to the effective operation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine under various conditions and challenges.
